Hi, there! 🌿 I’m Julia, a first-year MSI student specializing in UX Research & Design @ the University of Michigan.

My goals are to create meaningful and intuitive digital experiences and to remain teachable and curious as a designer.

Transitioning from a background as a tattoo artist, I've enjoyed integrating my design skills into the realm of UI/UX.

For instance, while tattooing, I developed strong visual design and communication skills while also learning to take frequent critiques and make iterations.

Most importantly, I learned to focus on designing for the client’s needs. This has translated nicely into my current work as a UX designer in the form of a user-centric approach to crafting solutions.

In May of 2025, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Interactive Design from Kennesaw State University. Now, I’m pursuing an M.S. in Information from the University of Michigan on the UX Research & Design track.

I’ve recently been working on course projects such as partnering with Salesforce to research AI in the field of education and conducting an accessibility redesign proposal for the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses.

In my free time, I love playing with my dog, Pancho, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, and I recently developed a crochet obsession.
